Since the late 1990s, Shinjin Boltec Co. has rapidly emerged as one of the first-rate general suppliers of fasteners in Korea. Equipped with state-of-the-art cold and hot forging equipment, the company has produced a broad spectrum of fasteners for automobiles and petrochemical and power plants.
With ISO 14001, ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 international certifications, the firm turns out not only pipe-laying items such as fittings, swivel nuts, body nipples, lock nuts and sleeves, but also such special bolts as stud bolts, H.V hex bolts and anchor bolts for various plants and shipyards.
Notably, the maker plans to complete the development of titanium bolts next year and begin commercial production in the same year. When this happens, it will have an unrivaled competitive edge to become the leading supplier in the US$2 billion global titanium bolt market. Moreover, it can extend its markets to specialized fields such as the aerospace industry. Based on its accumulated technology, the manufacturer can also produce super-duplex or special alloy models according to the buyer's specifications.
With a monthly output capacity of some 4,000 tons, the company has exported mainly to the United States, Australia and the Middle East. Efforts are being made to reinforce its marketing with North American and European car makers and the Middle Eastern plants as the major target. For this purpose, it has arranged tours of its factories for promising foreign buyers and actively participated in related international fairs around the world.
Last year, the company raked in some $4 million in total sales and delivers its products within 30 days after the receipt of an L/C.
